Previously approved in 1994, the old design for this build in Greys point was disconnected and unfeasible. We were engaged to conceptualise a modern interpretation of the approved design and submit for a modified consent. Sitting on a site that rises 17m from bottom to top, and sharing access with the neighbouring dwelling were our key constraints to consider.

We created a design that enhanced solar access creating light-filled spaces, revised the overall footprint, improved the flow of the levels and revised the material palate introducing a mix of concrete, brick tiles and timber slatted screening.. The numerous planter boxes on the facade will grow and soften the lines of the building, integrating with the raw materials over time.
